AN EMBEDDED STYLE SHEET

This page has been totally formatted using Embedded Styles. This includes the indented margins, font attributes, justified text, placement and size of the headers and the colors of the links. It was accomplished by using Style Rules in the <head> section of this document.

This is an H2 heading, and the size is 115% of the text.

Until now, I had no idea how much could be done with Styles, as I thought they were only designed to replace the font tag and a few other deprecated HTML tags. And this is only the first week of class... I'm sure we'll learn many more new ways to design our webpages in the weeks ahead!

Heading aligned center

Heading aligned right

I know we're supposed to use headers to divide our pages into logical sections, but since we're just experimenting this week, I thought it would be OK to use them in a decorative manner :-)

NOTE: The W3C Validation Service is down for the weekend so I used the WDG to validate both my HTML code, which is correct, and my embedded styles. Although I have no errors in the Style, I've never had so many warnings before... mostly on colors! But my pages look OK in Opera, Mozilla, and IE, so I hope everything is OK.
